      Did I give up to easily? Now I think I should bet the turn and then give up..

      If you're going to bet the flop, why not the turn? that 8 changes nothing.

      Maybe he's on a flushdraw here? Seems unlikely he has the queen cause he'd want to get more money in the pot and then he should also be afraid you have a flushdraw (you could have raised AK :diamond:)

      Maybe I'm wrong but unless that river comes J:diamond: I still like your hand.

      Why don't you bet the turn? Didn't change much and we need to get value from him. :) But as played definitely would Call it, you just induced him to bluff or maybe even has Jx.
