Bodog Sympa (0) No Limit Hold'em ($0.25/$0.50) Shorthanded Real Money, 5 players

opponent is an aggressive 3bettor in position and hasnt folded to a 4bet over a small sample size. villain stats vpip 16 pfr 12 3bet from button 12%, 4bet fold 0%, i expect his 3bet range to be slightly tighter as I had a fairly solid image and had raised from UTG. I expect him to 5bet AA/KK and call 4bet fairly wide in position as he didnt like to back down in these preflop spots. Call 4bet 88-QQ AJ-AK
      seat 2: McHamburger(BB):$79.89
      seat 3: JCPoker44(HJ) is Hero:$131.47
      seat 4: Randall75(CO):$97.45
      seat 5: lockyer006(BTN):$60.15
      seat 6: Getfit73(SB):$51.77

HOLE CARDS: ($0.75) Hero is HJ with JhJs
      JCPoker44(Hero) raises to $1.75, 1 folds, lockyer006 raises to $5, 2 folds, JCPoker44(Hero) raises to $11.50, lockyer006 calls $6.50

      FLOP: ($23.75) 4s 2s 5c
      JCPoker44(Hero) bets $12, lockyer006 calls $12

      TURN: ($47.75)3c
      JCPoker44(Hero) checks, lockyer006 bets $15

Sick turn card that froze me a little. Bet/Fold or check/fold? Is his small 1/3rd pot bet a scared bluff bet or a crying out for a call bet?

I'm wondering if I should have bet/folded the turn as I give up the initiative with the check and allow him to turn all his pocket pairs thats worse than mine into a bluff. I always feel like i play like a wuss in the big 3bet 4bet post flop pots.

I think your 3bet reraise was minimum thus allowing him to call with AJs+ maybe AQo.

Also he could get the minumum raise as a weak raise, followed by a check on the flop, thats weakness that he exploited, maybe

Well personally i don't 4-bet and get it in with JJ so i'd call him preflop. If you do 4-bet to get it in you should be making it bigger like 12.5-13.5 to make it harder for him to call you. And then you can just shove any flop. If you got an overpair your likely to have the best hand and on A and K high boards you have a ton of fold equity.

As played im not folding here with this stack to pot ratio. By the turn you need like 27% or so and if he doesn't have an A your likely to be way ahead.

It also depends on how many times you think his floating there with A high on the flop which would be pretty bad since you have to fold like every turn thats not AK3 and your not feeling all that good about a K and 3 will split the pot a lot of the time so i think he folds most of his non paired hand that dont have spades in them so he really shouldn't have that many A's in his range by the turn.

As for bet sizing i think he bets this amount with no matter what he has. At this point you have less then a potsize bet left and on the river you'll have like 25$ behind for and 80$ pot so if his doing it for value he can easily bet small and still get the money in when you feel commited to call so if his somewhat consistent with his betsizes he should be making it the same with bluffs especially in a spot where its cheaper.

There's also a possibility that he has something like 77-TT that his turning into a bluff now or some type of FD with a random SC since the board got scary and can make you fold everything thats not an A.

I like how you played pf, flop and turn check
You can b/f turn yourself 10-15$, but I also dont´mind check since I´d also check there AK
If player seems aggressive and can make moves I´d c/c turn and c/f river, if he is rather passive I think just c/f turn is also fine
