      while his check raise does look strong, like some sort of set, we are being given 2:1pot odds to call, and he is even short stack, so to me i think i have to call....against a full stack this c/r would be folded i think.

      I'm not sure about this one when i look back on it

      Hello joeldowey123,

      We need ~34% equity there and lets say against something like this:

      Board: 8:heart: T:spade: 7:heart:
             Equity     Win     Tie
      UTG    32.54%  30.21%   2.33% { 9d9c }
      UTG+1  67.46%  65.13%   2.33% { TT, 88-77, ATs, KTs, QTs, J9s+, T9s, 96s, 87s, AhJh, Ah5h, Ah4h, Ah3h, Ah2h, ATo, KTo, QTo, J9o+, T9o, 87o }

      We ain't getting it that easily. Of course we could add as well even worse hands/worse pairs but most likely it's at the best a flip. Myself I'd be even inclined to fold.

      Best regards.
