      Did I overplay my Q's? Or did I give up to easily as played? I was sure he had beat me so I gave up..

      make it a bigger bet on the flop :) and i would second barrel him on turn.
      I'd say you played your ladies too weak here, unless you had some very good reads on him and put him on a set, straight is unlikely here, would he call a 3bet with J8 or 86 ?

      Doesn't make sense to 3bet the QQ if you ain't gonna 2nd barrel it for value on such a board. Of what are you scared? If you don't want to play such a hand on such a board for value then rather don't 3bet.
