I raised the 2 limpers to try and take the pot down with a decent suited A. When I missed the flop I was going to give up but that tiny bet reeked of weakness. I thought about raising but decided to call to see the final card. When he bet so small again I called, mainly to see what he was doing and though I might even win the hand.

Just checking but I think my odds calculations are right here:
Turn: He bet .20 into 1.25 giving 1-6 odds.
River: He Bet .30 into 1.65 giving1-6 odds.

All things being equal would a raise have been a good idea on the turn?

if you gave up on the flop I don´t think you should turn your hand into bluff and raise turn. Players would b/c just too often
Question is if you should call his river bet, since to me it looks always like one pair hands that is betting for value, so I would like raise to 2$ more than calling river

      Pot odds should be correct

He showed up with A8. I think he would have folded to a raise on the turn but I take your point as I didn't know what he had. lol

Interesting idea on river...seems risky though no?

      Hello Edukator99,

I still like actually sometimes even Check behind and raise the turn. There is even a good article about such moves. Try reading this:
      Unorthodox bets and lines

      Best regards.
