I thought about raising preflop but when the button called I thought I'd just see what happened on the flop. I bet when the 10 hit cause I thought I was likely ahead of the fish but didn't know about the button. Unless he had a J I thought I was ahead though.

Would raising preflop have been a good idea?

      Hello Edukator99,

Both plays are actually fine. If you want to take the initiative then raising is fine. If you don't feel your play postflop being very good then this play is perfectly fine as well. Nice hand!

      Best regards.
