Maybe just check behind on the turn?

But won't change much. Then you'll prob get bet on the river and will have to fold.

But you are drawing with an overpair here.. I mean there's obviously a lot in his range that would've completely missed, like Ax and maybe Kx although prob not with 16/9, but there's also a lot that has you beat.

Maybe actually reraise the flop? If he's missed that will make it hard to 3bet, if he calls he'll prob check the turn and you get a free card and then there's the chance he'll fold a weaker hand like TT, and if he raises you, you know you're almost certainly dead.

if u reraise on the flop, u isolate myself for better hand... no way to RR on the flop...

yes that was my whole point really.. now you have no idea where you are. TT is not a very strong hand against a raise by a 16/9 player from UTG.

His range is prob AA/AK/AQ/KK and maybe but doubtful AJs, and then QQ down to 77 or 66 or something. So there are more hands that beat you than hands that you beat. While it seems unlikely that he'd cbet if he had flopped a set with his pair, it's not impossible. And even if you put him on AQ or AK he still has the same amount of outs as you do with your gutshot and trips.

With 1000 hands you'd prob have some other stats as well so I don't know about that (fold to raised cbet for instance), but it might be worth it I think. But then what do I know? :)

      Hello BGawli,

Yep, we have to bet the turn and protect from any kind of overcards and of course secure us the free showdown. :) Nice hand!

      Best regards.
