      The player I ended up at showdown with was a calling station, hence no c-bet on the flop. Was the value-bet on the river acceptable or too risky? I hadn't seen any slow plays out of the person and I thought there was a wide range of jacks that he would call with.

      Hey lynius,

      Nice hand, well played. I like your reasoning for your actions. Half potsize bet/fold on the river is good against this kind of player as he can call many worse hands while he will bet Qx on the river most of the time.
