Is this hand played alright? I played it quite slowly, could've probably got more value from it although he could've folded earlier if I'd shown strength. Opponents stats: VPIP: 38, PFR: 9, 3B: 0, AF: 1.1, Hands: 56 (v small sample size).

Hand converted with online PokerStrategy.com hand converter:

      Play hand

      $0.02/$0.04 No-Limit Hold'em (6 handed)

      $5.50
      BB:

Preflop: Hero is SB with A, K.
3 folds, BU raises to $0.12, Hero raises to $0.32, BB folds, BU calls $0.20.

      Flop: ($0.68) K, 4, J (2 players)
Hero bets $0.08, BU calls $0.08.

      Turn: ($0.84) 2 (2 players)
      Hero checks, BU checks.

      River: ($0.84) 9 (2 players)
Hero bets $0.80, BU calls $0.80.

      Final Pot: $2.44.
      Results follow:

      Hero shows a pair of kings(A K).
      BU shows a pair of jacks(J A).

Hero wins with a pair of kings(A K).

And another, kinda lucky one, also not quite sure why I raised $1 on the flop, he may have been an erratic player + I also wanted to push others out of the pot:

1st hand bet on the flop is very small. You've got a made hand here, but it's only TPTK with a flush draw and a possible straight draw on the board.

So I'd cbet at least 3/4 of the pot here and hit it again on the turn since there's still a flush draw.

Maybe if the flush draw doesn't come in on the river you can check to BU to induce a bluff but that's a bit more advanced than how I play so I can't really say whether or not that would be a good spot for it.

2nd hand, I know it says in the tutorial sticky to post no more than 3 hands per thread but the hand coaches prefer to just have one in each.

Only thing I can comment on is that you might as well shove it on the turn against his bet, at that point you're committed anyway

      Hello sketchzr,

Welcome to the NL BSS Hand Evaluation Forum! Hopefully we will see more hands from you in the future. I hope that with our help you can improve your play and as well move up the limits. We will be waiting for the next hands and till that good luck on tables!

First of all it would be nice if you would post 1 hand per thread so we could concentrate on just one hand. :) Thanks!

      Hand #1
Way too small CBet. Bet sizing has a leak. Also of course you should continue betting on turn.

      Hand #2
Ship it directly on turn. :)

      Best regards.
