      Hello Maniatrix,

      What worse hand will pay you there? With Check/Raise you are just making worse hands to fold and better ones will continue. Therefore, I'd just Check/Call the river rather than go for a value.

      Of course he may have there 2pairs etc but if you face a 3bet on river, what's your plan? Also what even happened, pretty cruel spot, I would say that we most often are behind here.

      2 pair was what I had in mind. I keep putting opponents on specific hands and overplay my own hand accordingly. This is really slowing down the rate I increase my bankroll. He had a straight of course, 9c8c.

      Putting opponents on a specific hand is just wrong. The first mistake what people do is putting every time people on just one hand which brings to the case they either fold to easily or go broke too easily. Range-Range-Range everything is based on range in poker. :)
