      Hello Maniatrix,

One question, what's the point of 3betting on turn and not Betting the river? Or what was your plan? He most likely is going to Check behind (with weak holdings) on river if you don't bet yourself. Myself I have an easy bet on river.

As played I guess he may overvalue even his hand but the question would he overbet them? I rarely doubt, unless is some stronger hand like better sets. Therefore it's up to the pure bluff which we beat. So it's really up to the reads of course, do you expect to be capable of bluffing in those spots?

      Best regards.

He did show up with a bluff with 99 but I was just wondering if he would do this often.
My reason for checking was I figured I was either beat when that spade came or he was drawing for something else and could bluff the river.

I'd basically for that reason just bet myself rather than make the bluff-catcher Call as it was. A lot of hands may still pay you, 2pairs even just Ax and etc which might just Check behind and we will miss value.
