Short Stack Strategy Live?

Just wondering if SSS was a legitimate live strategy or anyone had tried it before. From what I hear of live poker it sounds a very profitable strategy with a lot of looser players and raise sizes generally bigger meaning players feel more committed to a 25BB Shove. (I have not played any live cash games yet but this is what I've heard from general forums.)

Also, moving to London for Uni in September (Hopefully!) and wondering if any english live players could tell me where the best (fishiest) places are to play in London and how beatable the games are considering I would be looking to start out at the lowest stakes available (£1/1 or £1/2 I believe.)

      Thanks,

      Check.

      Hi CheckBop,

there are two main problems why playing a ShortStack doesn't work well in a Live Game

      • you can't multitable so playing too tight might get pretty boring
      • you can't take money from the table, so after your first doubleup you can't play ShortStack anymore

      Cheers,

Okay, the boredom factor may be an issue, but surely in a large poker room/casino you could move table after a double. Or would this be frowned upon, constantly table hopping?
