      Hero checks,

Vilain was an aggressive regular playing 22/19/3 with wtsd 29%, cbet 70%, fold to 3bet 33%.
I decided to flat preflop, because of his low fold to 3bet and me being oop.
On the flop, I went for check raise with an intention of getting it in, because my draw is very strong and I think I have enaugh fold equity.
When he calls, I put him on a strong range: top pair+, thats why i decided not to barrel this turn, and when he bet I though that I have enaugh equity to call.
What do you think about this play? Should I raise more on the flop? Should I c/r turn? Or should I barrel myself?

      Hello Indahaus,

If he really is going that often to showdowns and even can be really aggressive then you have to very often consider 2nd barreling here rather than going for a Check/Call. Since your implied odds wont be very good if you go for a Check/Call. Very likely wont get paid. But rather with 2nd barrel you have the possibility to gain even fold equity and of course our overall equity against any range should be fine as well.

      Best regards.

raise for value pre flop ! !!!! his range at button and cutoff is wide and he doesn't fold to 3 bets so often !
