[NL2-NL10] NL 29 BB Nitwit play

      I get a free flop.

I decide to check raise, anticipating UTG to have AK or a pair and be looking for clarity on there position. This would also wipe out flush draw.

No flop bet and the flush hitting on the turn are shockers. I bet for value and to protect against flush hitting on the river.

I get into a raising war on the river. The only hand I can think of that beats me is AA. I put villain on A-x or a flush.

How should I have got away? Was the check raise far too Nitty? Should I have just called the river down?

Without a read that the villain is a complete rock the only way out of this hand is to misplay it completely (by slowplaying so much that you don't get all in).

      Hello Phildini,

First of all we have to start that you should have bet the flop for protection! You ain't gonna get called by worse anyways. As played I'd just bet myself on river rather than go for a Check/Raise but I don't think that I'd get it away here either, while not that many combos beat us.

      Best regards.
