Hero checks, CO bets $0.47, Hero folds

I have a hard time deciding if I should cbet or not on flops where I hold a hands such as AK I don't hit the flop and I have to play oop. In this case I saw that his fold to cbets was quite low so I decided to check but once he bets into me I don't have the initiative and im oop so I felt I had to fold. seams really weak.

reviewing the hand I think in this case I should have fired a cbet because its a very dry board.

But is it profitable to cbet "semi-calling stations" with AK in this situation?

any general tips for if I should cbet AK or not when I'm oop without hitting?

      Hello ollehult,

On such a dry flop I'd still consider CBetting while we have a lot of backdoors and even overcards. It's pretty dry for us but as well for him, he can't hit much here either. But of course if we are going for a Check then most likely I'd just give it up.

      Best regards.
