[NL2-NL10] AJo NL5 FR - call river?

      Villain 35/0/1/32 so LP/STN?

:spade: If I check behind on the turn it is a dryish board on which to do so but I should really be calling the river getting 4.5:1, at least for note taking and value despite how passive he is?

:spade: If I bet/fold the turn I am still going to get value from a lot of draws:
OESD's, gutshots, weaker pairs and I can fold to a raise.

:spade: If he check calls my turn bet ($1.20 minimum) he would only have $2.18 behind, just over 1/2 pot bet. If he were to shove the river then I would need to 25% equity against this range to make this call break even or better.

:spade: However I cannot see a hand that this type of player would shove on the river that I would have any equity against, therefore I would see the line bet/fold turn, check/fold river as being best?

:spade: I could bluff the river but I really dont see how this would be possible vs this type of opponent especially after I check behind on the turn.

      Hello muel294,

Against rather passive player I'd consider Checking behind the turn as well. So therefore your play is totally fine. Wouldn't change much. Most likely he went for small value on river.

      Best regards.
