After hitting nicely on turn & with no-one playing back at me I was happy to bet for value on this hand.

Should have pushed over the top of the BTN's call of the all-in when given the chance on the river?

Doesn't show strength, and he may feel obliged to call?

To add, situation as it arised was a bit unexpected and I just clicked call pretty quick without considering the dynamics of the position.

      Hello Philfox1985,

I'd actually bet it even a bit bigger on river. :) Although as played do you expect the BU to pay you with worse? If you do then sure why not to go for maximum value. It's anyways a hand which you beat since if he had you had you beat then he would very likely be inclined to raise himself.

      Best regards.
