NL5 to the world series 2011 and then thailand!! A SH blog!

      UTG folds
      MP limps
CO (hero) raises 40c with QQ
      BTN folds
      SB calls
      BB calls
      MP calls

      Flop: 998r
      SB checks
      BB checks
      MP bets 40c
      Hero ??

Start of session so villains are unknown.

So the thinking is we are 1st of all needing to raise for value, worse hands will obviously fold but other worse hands will call also. Furthermore we need to protect our hand vs alot of cards that make our hand worse ie 5,T,J,Q,K,A. So this makes raising more important right!?

If raising what is a good raise size? If you think call, whats the reasoning?

      what's your hand man ?(

i assume some high PP, so i guess the line is raise for value (as his bet is too small)/fold, but i wouldn't jeopardize my stack against unknown, specially if he goes minbet/shove it's often up to some 9x hand

I thin he has there often 8x, some lower pp (77-22), sometimes draw (JT- to any gutshot) or air.
I´d prefer raising flop to 1.2$ to build pot likely with the best hand and if he is middlestack then trying to get all-in till the river.
Calling is there fine if you think he has air a lot, then I would just call him down or consider raising on blank turn to build the pot.
