I was called a "putz" and a "total f**cking dickweed" by two different players because of how I played this hand. They never told me what they had, I didn't muck my hand and showed them my pocket jacks.

      Bodog - $0.05 NL (6 max) - Holdem - 5 players
      Hand converted by PokerTracker 3

      SB: $4.61
      BB: $2.85
      UTG: $6.20
      Hero (CO): $7.17
      BTN: $2.68

SB posts SB $0.02, BB posts BB $0.05

      Pre Flop: ($0.07) Hero has J:heart: J:spade:

UTG calls $0.05, Hero raises to $0.25, fold, fold, fold, UTG calls $0.20

      Flop: ($0.57, 2 players) 3:spade: 4:diamond: T:club:
UTG bets $0.55, Hero raises to $1.50, fold

So, was I a "total dickweed" (whatever that is). I thought my play here was pretty standard.

I re-raised with an overpair on the flop, 3 x the raise as we have been taught (or was that only pre-flop sizing?). If I was re-re-raised, I would have put the player on a set or a two-pair and folded accordingly.

      Hello Zareos,

Doh, I don't like the raise on flop. You are practically just forcing all weaker hands to fold and at the same time isolating yourself against better hands. Rather just Call and reevaluate it on turn.

      Best regards.
