I am confused about the play of AK pre flop. Here with a tight villain over a decent sample (villains plays 12/9) what should be our response to villains 3 bet; is this a fold here with AK? a call seems tough as even if we flop an ace or king, we could still be in trouble against the range we are afraid of, but after a 4 bet we are pretty much pot committed against his stack size.

      Known players:

      0.01/0.02 No-Limit Hold'em (10 handed)
Hand recorder used for this poker hand: Elephant 0.102 by

      Preflop: Hero is MP2 with A:spade: , K:diamond:
      UTG raises to $0.07, UTG1 raises to $0.24, 2 folds, Hero raises to $0.48, 6 folds, UTG1 raises to $1.17 (All-In), Hero calls $0.69.

      Flop: ($2.44) 9:spade: , 3:heart: , 2:diamond:
      Turn: ($2.44) Q:diamond:
      River: ($2.44) 8:diamond: (2 players)

      Final Pot: $2.44

      Results follow (highlight to see):
UTG1 shows a pair of aces (Ah Ad)
      Hero shows (As Kd)

UTG1 wins with a pair of aces (Ah Ad)

      Hello boomer011,

Well the problem is that you are doing the 4bet against UTG ranges. I'd really rather be inclined to just fold vs the 3bet. They most likely will continue only with strong hands only and you at the best get a coinflip.

      Best regards.
