exisiting customer getting rakeback

Since Full Tilt died Ive been playing PKR more than any other site but the problem is I'm getting to a point now where rakeback would actually be worth having, I've estimated that I'd be getting at least $10 a week, sure its not a huge amount but that in effect pays for a tournament as a freeroll.

I was a memeber on PKR long before I ever knew that this site or even rakeback existed so am I unable to get it in my exisiting account? Do I have to make a new account in order to receive it?

      Hi there darkpenance,

That's right. In order for you to receive rack back you would either had to register through PokerStrategy.com or sign up when the site introduced rake back.

I can see that we never received any StrategyPoints on your account from PKR.
Which probably means, you aren't tracked through us, correct?

I think you should contact the poker room and get more information regarding this topic, I'm sure they'll be able to help you out.

I've asked one of my colleague to pop by and give you some further advice! :)

      Hey DarkPenance0,

As Ingrid said, re-tracking is often not possible unless the account has been inactive for 6-12 months.

There are other options for rakeback however, which as you said, is going to become more important as you play more and move up the limits. Many players just play "break-even" and then rely on the rakeback to push them into 20-30% profit!

So, depending on what you play etc, these are my recommendations:

If you are SnG player, I recommend Betfair on the Ongame Network. They have very good SnG traffic and their loyalty/VIP scheme is pretty rewarding. Not to mention that their first deposit bonus gives a huge amount of rakeback while you are clearing it (1-2 months usually).

Check out our review here for more info on Betfair.

For cash games, I would recommend William Hill on the iPoker Network. The traffic is good and the competition is pretty fishy because of their Sportsbook customers playing.

There is one feature about William Hill which I think would appeal to you particularly - The "Premium Tables" as they called. They tables basically give the users a flat 50% rakeback up to $100 a week. If you are not likely to go over this $100 limit, then I highly recommend that you use these tables to your advantage.

This is the link to our William Hill review.

So you would need to sign up, go to their site and find the promotion for Premium Tables and find out how you would find them in the poker client.

Hope this has been useful :)

Thanks alot for the information, its a shame aboput PKR because I like the software but I need to be pragmatic, having rakeback would allow me to freeroll a tournament a week which may just give me a massive BR boost.

When you say inactive do you mean that the account hasn't been logged into or that no poker has been played on the account?

Have you had anyone successfully get a PKR account re tracked on PS?

      Cheers,
      Adam

      Hey Adam,

That depends on the room. Some say that you wont have played a "raked hand", others base it on logging into the software. You would need to check the Terms & Conditions over at PKR for the exact answer.

In truth, even if an account has been classed as inactive, it isnt always the case that they can re-track it to us. It seems to be case by case basis, with some rooms open to the idea, others refusing outright.

Sorry I can't be more specific at this time mate!

PKR definitely don't do retracking. I signed up and before even downloading the software realised I wasn't going to be entitled for rakeback.

They told me if I played a good amount they would reconsider my appeal and perhaps give me rakeback, retracking is unfortunately out of the question though.

      +1

they told me to rake a minimum of $500 a month to be considered for appeal but even then it is not guaranteed you will get rakeback. But you can apply for it.

For cash games, I would recommend William Hill on the iPoker Network. The traffic is good and the competition is pretty nitty because of their mass multitabling rakeback grinders and bots playing.
