      Should I have folded to the river bet? I thought he was slow playing a set of 8.

      Well, the problem is that even a loose player will have hard time calling on such a board. Plus his intention really is towards to Jx hand. I'd be rather inclined to just Call than shove here.

      Plus of course against station-like opponent you can even consider betting on every street bigger.
