Should I value bet the river here? When the villain calls the raise on the turn and then checks the river I'm pretty confident I have the best hand but should I just check behind and avoid being called by a weak two-pair or passively played set?

You should bet the flop and the turn too you are not getting enough value from this hand if you play it this way.

Why did you check the flop and give for free the turn card?

      Best of luck,
      Bogdan

      Hello Scooney,

Don't really see why you ain't betting the flop? I mean you are just isolating yourself against very strong hands and with your play you are just scaring a lot of weaker hands away. I don't like it at all. Standard play and bet the flop, no other way.

As played, you are still asking either to bet for value or not? I mean with your play it would be criminal to Check behind on river. :f_biggrin:

      Best Regards.
