Should I be willing to get it in pre-flop against this type of opponent?

As played I assume the call of the 4 bet was a pretty crazy decision as there can't be odds to set mine. Decision was made out of confusion, opponent didn't seem like a total manic but certainly was aggresive.

Preflop: Hero is BB with 9:heart: , 9:club:
3 folds, SB raises to $0.15, Hero raises to $0.45, SB raises to $1.05, Hero calls $0.60.

      Flop: ($2.10) T:spade: , 6:heart: , 2:club: (2 players)
SB bets $1.2, Hero folds, SB gets uncalled bet back.

      Final Pot: $2.10

      Hello Philfox1985,

Well, depends really what kind of reads/stats you had on him. I mean if he was a maniac then why do you 3bet at all? If you are 3betting then your intention is to go broke as well against him rather than call since you ain't gonna be able to play for set value here.

But ye, as played well you kinda hit the best flop for you. :D Against his maniac range could even be ahead...

      Best Regards.
