HELLO!

Who am I and why i start this blog?

My name is Plamen and I am moderator and hand judge in Bulgarian community. I decided to start this blog because i thought it would be cool to communicate with other people about poker, life, parties, etc... (I guess this is the moment to announce that my English is not very good).

This summer I got my bankroll busted in FT (fuck you FBI) so thanks to some friends from BG community I started again from NL10 at Microgaming. I managed to beat NL10 pretty fast but then NL20 fishes punished me and I got back at NL10. It's complicated so I will describe it with graphs:

NL10

NL20

Right now I am playing NL20 and I am trying to improve my game and beat the limit.

What are my goals?

I will try not to think too much about the future or the past but I think that I should have
some goals.

:diamond: Become better player
:diamond: Improve my game every day (this includes watching vids, reviewing my game, posting hands in the hand judge section, talking with more experienced players about the game)
:diamond: Play as much as possible (well this is one of my biggest problems but let's say 30k/month is acceptable)

I don't want to set any goals that doesn't depend on me.

What can you see in this blog?

Here you will find some graphs, interesting hands, random trash talk, live revelations, drunk posts and etc.

Hey guys,

What's up? Yesterday I managed to play for like 2 hours and had some interesting situations:

Grabbed by Holdem Manager
NL Holdem $0.20(BB) Replayer
Hero ($38.77)
BB ($20.20)
UTG ($4.75)
CO ($29.84)
BTN ($20)

Dealt to Hero Q:spade: K:club:

fold, CO raises to $0.60, fold, Hero calls $0.50, fold

FLOP ($1.40) Q:diamond: 3:heart: 4:club:

Hero checks, CO checks

TURN ($1.40) Q:diamond: 3:heart: 4:club: 5:diamond:

Hero bets $1, CO raises to $2.70, Hero calls $1.70

RIVER ($6.80) Q:diamond: 3:heart: 4:club: 5:diamond: T:diamond:

Hero checks, CO checks

CO shows J:spade: K:diamond:
(Pre 26%, Flop 3.5%, Turn 0.0%)

Hero shows Q:spade: K:club:
(Pre 74%, Flop 96.5%, Turn 100.0%)

Hero wins $6.46

My opp is 23/19 with 85% cb over 400hands.

On the turn he isn't representing anything strong because I expect him to bet flop with 67 on 55 plus all the strong hands.
Only if he checks back some Ax he might have some FD's so my plan here was to call turn and call any river except a diamond, because I don't expect him to bluff me on a diamond.

Grabbed by Holdem Manager
NL Holdem $0.20(BB) Replayer
SB ($15.94)
Hero ($21.03)
UTG ($21)
CO ($23.46)
BTN ($22.79)

Dealt to Hero K:diamond: J:diamond:

fold, CO raises to $0.60, fold, SB calls $0.50, Hero raises to $2.60, CO calls $2, fold

FLOP ($5.80) K:heart: 2:club: T:diamond:

Hero bets $3, CO calls $3

TURN ($11.80) K:heart: 2:club: T:diamond: 8:club:

Hero checks, CO checks

RIVER ($11.80) K:heart: 2:club: T:diamond: 8:club: T:heart:

Hero checks, CO bets $7, Hero calls $7

Hero shows K:diamond: J:diamond:
(Pre 30%, Flop 18.2%, Turn 6.8%)

CO shows Q:heart: K:spade:
(Pre 70%, Flop 81.8%, Turn 93.2%)

CO wins $24.51

CO is unknown and SB is a fish. I like my 3bet here because i probably have a lot of FE vs CO and I don't mind if the fish calls me.

On the flop I guess the cbet is standart.

I have actually no idea what to do on the turn and I was check/folding because I don't expect him to be bluffing a lot.

On the river I decided to c/c to make him value bet himself all the weaker hands.

Any thoughts?

And here are some funny hands:

Hero shows 9:diamond: Q:diamond:
(Pre 14%, Flop 7.0%, Turn 18.2%)

Hero wins $14.54

It's so cool when people just can't fold their overpair.

Oohh.... I was going to forget about this one:

Grabbed by Holdem Manager

Hero shows J:diamond: A:diamond:
(Pre 73%, Flop 86.7%, Turn 76.1%)

Hero wins $30.21

Villian is a guy who likes to bet on three streets no matter what he has.

I was going to play the Gold Rush freeroll in Unibet but I'm going out in like 15 min so I guess I will miss it.

And to reward you for reading all this:

Hey guys,

Couldn't update in the last days because I was a little bit too busy with playing and other RL stuff.

Here in Bulgaria the weather sucks right now because at Friday was about 25 degrees and at Saturday it went to 10 degrees! And it was a bit too rainy... :(

But it made me stay at home and play a decent amount of hands (don't expect 20k because I'm only 4tabling right now).

Had some real interesting hands and of course some stupid spews which I don't want to think about. Overall I am satisfied with my game but will deffo try to improve it in order to pown people better.

Grabbed by Holdem Manager
NL Holdem $0.20(BB) Replayer
SB ($21.14)
BB ($20.20)
UTG ($27.13)
UTG+1 ($12.03)
Hero ($20)
BTN ($14.69)

Dealt to Hero A:heart: Q:club:

UTG raises to $0.80, fold, Hero calls $0.80, fold, fold, BB calls $0.60

FLOP ($2.50) 6:heart: A:diamond: 3:club:

BB checks, UTG bets $1.80, Hero calls $1.80, BB folds

TURN ($6.10) 6:heart: A:diamond: 3:club: 8:club:

UTG bets $3.40, Hero calls $3.40

RIVER ($12.90) 6:heart: A:diamond: 3:club: 8:club: 7:spade:

UTG bets $5.60, Hero raises to $14 (AI), UTG calls $8.40

UTG shows A:spade: K:club:
(Pre 74%, Flop 87.3%, Turn 93.2%)

Hero shows A:heart: Q:club:
(Pre 26%, Flop 12.7%, Turn 6.8%)

UTG wins $38.86

Villian is 16/14 over 100h. His cbet is 60%.

On the river I think he bets AQ+, A3/A6/A8, 33/66. I obviously can't call so I decided to shove because I think he must be folding at least AQ+ and A3/A6/A8. Well obviously he doesn't think that way and he snapped me. :D

Grabbed by Holdem Manager
NL Holdem $0.20(BB) Replayer
SB ($18.65)
Hero ($22.61)
UTG ($16.08)
CO ($11.96)
BTN ($19.09)

Dealt to Hero K:diamond: A:spade:

UTG calls $0.20, fold, BTN raises to $0.40, fold, Hero raises to $1.40, UTG calls $1.20, BTN calls $1

FLOP ($4.30) J:club: A:heart: Q:diamond:

Hero bets $2.60, UTG folds, BTN calls $2.60

TURN ($9.50) J:club: A:heart: Q:diamond: 8:diamond:

Hero checks, BTN checks

RIVER ($9.50) J:club: A:heart: Q:diamond: 8:diamond: K:club:

Hero bets $5.60, BTN raises to $11.40, Hero calls $5.80

Hero shows K:diamond: A:spade:
(Pre 63%, Flop 78.6%, Turn 79.5%)

BTN shows J:spade: T:club:
(Pre 37%, Flop 21.4%, Turn 20.5%)

BTN wins $30.69

I really hate my play here. Villian is a fish - 63/11 over 40 hands.

I don't like my turn check. Villian is almost always going to call me with any Ax here plus some random pair + draw hands.

On the river I'm not really sure if he ever raise without a T here and in these spots I feel really exploited by the fish because I call just because "he is a fish and he might raise worse two pair here". And the don't. :(

Grabbed by Holdem Manager
NL Holdem $0.20(BB) Replayer
SB ($18.92)
Hero ($21.75)

Dealt to Hero 9:spade: T:spade:

fold, fold, CO raises to $0.40, BTN calls $0.40, fold, Hero calls $0.20

FLOP ($1.30) Q:diamond: 2:heart: J:club:

Hero checks, CO checks, BTN bets $0.80, Hero raises to $2.60, CO folds, BTN calls $1.80

TURN ($6.50) Q:diamond: 2:heart: J:club: K:heart:

Hero bets $4, BTN raises to $17.60 (AI), Hero calls $13.60

RIVER ($41.70) Q:diamond: 2:heart: J:club: K:heart: 4:spade:

BTN shows K:club: Q:heart:
(Pre 60%, Flop 71.3%, Turn 9.1%)

Hero shows 9:spade: T:spade:
(Pre 40%, Flop 28.7%, Turn 90.9%)

Hero wins $39.62

Villian is 17/11 over 60 hands.

Preflop I call because of the good pot odds.

On the flop I decided to raise just because BU can the attacking the pot after two checks quite often and my hand is disguised so much.

Grabbed by Holdem Manager

BTN shows J:club: A:diamond:
(Pre 45%, Flop 27.2%, Turn 22.7%)

Here Villian is rally aggro and he likes to float a lot so I decided to c/c T and R and try to bluff catch him.

Hero wins $72.47

Here MP is playing 30/6 over 200 hands and he folds to cb only 19% and BU is really aggro 72/50 18% 3b so I decided to overlimp/call here preflpo.

On the flop when he shoved I was thinkin of folding because it would be thin, but when MP called I snapped them.

And one song:

Hello guys,

For good or bad I haven't played this week and I feel bad for this because I just preferred to do random things rather than playing.

When the weekend came I was pretty confident about me playing like 12-16 hours and powning the tables until at like 9 AM i woke up with a terrible headache. It felt like some guy is hitting my head with a hammer and at this moment I was hating my life so much. Well that day I slept for like 16 hours and today I felt better but I decided to low ride and stay in bed and make some random stratgegy calculations and hand reviewing.

Also judged some hands in BG community and reviewed some of the hands in here just to keep my brain trained and not being too lazy.

Right now I am trying to figure out what film to download.

That's all for now and I hope that next week I will be playing more and update more often.

Thank you, Pesho.

@purplefizz

The thing that brought me to ENG community is to make new friends, share my view of poker/life with different people and last but not least train my English because I always wanted a place where I can write whatever I want in English without looking weird (for example if I start a blog in some bulgarian site).

This is why i found ENG community the best place to start a blog (probably had to mention that I failed running my last two blogs in BG community so I hope that one won't follow the other two to the last pages).

Hello boys and girls,

It's been two week since I last updated and I want to make a monthly review.

Here is the graph:

Obviously I failed to put in a good volume and this is because of my laziness. For two weeks I didn't played at all and if I want to succeed in this game this HAS TO CHANGE!!!

Overall poker is super exciting game - the more I know the more I realize how much I don't know. And this is so cool and interesting and I want to learn how to beat this game.
Next month I want to take some time studying and I want to start with blind defending and flop cbetting.

What am I going to do is to make my ranges for blind defense and about cbeting I am going to take random flops from random positions against random ranges and write them in my poker notebook and figure out should I cbet and how much, because I have a big problem with cbet sizes (I make them quite small).

I'm not going to post any hands because I don't want to search and I am heading off to bed.

Best,
Plamen :s_love: :s_love:
