Flop: Don't represent K here, you have 2 players in freeplay and you don't like any call here. Just check it and hope for free card.

Turn: What changed from the flop? He might fold only A9 or J9 and maybe some PP 55-88. You have position so go for cheaper showdown.

River: Checking behind is fine. Play it simple, don't try to over-represent something. You tried on the flop, it didn't work, just check to see the river and then decide.
One thought...if you fired 2 barrels this river is actually pretty nice if your opp is a thinking player so you might try firing for the third time and take it. He might fold some K but on NL4 you won't see that often, so checking behind is superior here.

      Hello oracle1785,

The flop is fine to bet with mid-pair while you might even be ahead vs most of the ranges. But I don't like the bet on turn that much. You ain't gonna get much value there anymore. Rather just Check it and hope to see free showdown and if not then most likely fold your hand.

      Best Regards.
