      Is there anyway I could have got away from this. I was thinking the only thing he could be beating me with is quads but I thought he probably had a 5 in his hand

      Like how you played it. I would personally shove river, but b/c is also fine. You can´t b/f river boat getting these odds and he can always have there worse hands, like 44 or 56s

      Well, I don't really see why you should skip value on river. Against that kind of opponent who could easily even have Ax in his range and most likely if he calls your $2 bet he will Call your shove as well. Just shove. ;)
