I decided to call 3bet and play IP.

Well SB decided to check and i checked behind.

SB checks again and i decided to bet.

Is that correct or is just check/fold line better?

Hand converted with online PokerStrategy.com hand converter:

      Play hand

      $0.05/$0.1 No-Limit Hold'em (5 handed)

      Known players:
      MP3 (Hero):

      Preflop: Hero is MP3 with 7, 8.
Hero raises to $0.40, 2 folds, SB raises to $1.30, BB folds, Hero calls $0.90.

      Flop: ($2.7) 9, 3, 5 (2 players)
      SB checks, Hero checks.

      Turn: ($2.7) J (2 players)
SB checks, Hero bets $1.69, SB folds, Hero gets uncalled bet back.

      Final Pot: $2.7.

You should fold pre-flop unless you've got a very good read or reason for doing this. Wanting to play IP is not sufficient justification with 100BB stacks.

Calling 3 bets w suited connectors is lighting money on fire IMHO.

As played, I like you bet on the turn.

      Hello Alan883,

Preflop: Don't like your Call that much, while you even didn't give any reason, standard fold.

      As played
Postflop: Just Bet the flop rather than Check behind and let him hit any kind of overcards. Usually they are rather giving it up when they are Checking into you in such spots.

      Best Regards.
