      Hello!! :P
Just joined a couple of days back - done the $50 quiz, and have started playing at Everest Poker - worked it up to $80 already.
Been a sit'n'go player for quite a while, but determined to crack the cash game.

It's good to be aboard :o)

LuigiVampa??? That is the name of a character in my favourite book, "The Count of Monte Christo"

      Hey there!

      Welcome to our lovely community!

First of all, congratulations on receiving your starting capital, may it bring you enormous riches in the long term!
But don't forget to study between playing!

So you've already covered which platform you chose, told us of your amazing start, and that you're going for cash despite being used to SnGs!

What about who you are, where you live, what's your poker history?

      Regards,
      Richard

      hi luigivampa99,

oh, i love that story! been quite a while since i read it though, no longer remember the names. :f_biggrin:

just wanted to add, there is a freeroll everyday restricted to PokerStrategy.com members. you might want to check it out sometime. details are here look:
      Everest Daily $100 Freeroll

if you want to get a good start on cash games, it could be very helpful to have a coach guide you in the beginning. i would suggest participating in the beginner's course. (the link is in my sig). let me know how you like it!

      smiles,
      wendy

Thanks for the warm welcome :)

      A bit more info then!
I'm from London - been playing poker for 6/7 years, and would say I am a decent sit'n'go player, and am able to grind a profit - but really wanna crack the cash game!!
The main reason for this is that I have 2 children, and sit'n'gos are not always practical - can't just get up and leave!! My cash game is OK, but it needs work - lol.

Thanks for the info about the freerolls and the beginners course :)
I shall look them up RIGHT now!

Yeah, I know someone who prefer playing SnGs but has a young daughter who needs tending to and has trouble finding the time to put in even one set, let alone a longer session.

So I understand the need to change to cash, I rather like both myself!
