      Hi,

      1) I would prefer giving up first hand. I think he would not fold J, K or A and often he has there pair+draw that he would call again and you have to barrel river to make fold smt like QJ type hands+ he can always decide just to c/c you down with two pair hands

      2) Would prefer c-bet, since also that board is scary for your opponent and he may easily fold there 88 without flushdraw+ if you check you can´t really c/c. B/c turn is fine, since he would shove there wider range
