      Hi all

Have just received my $50 starting capital and am
Going to be playing the 1 cent,2 cent cash games.

What I wondered was how many tables everyone
Played at the same time to try and grind up to the
Next level , as I am guessing playing just the one
      Table would take agesssss.

      Many thanks

      Jamie

      Hi jks1984,

      Welcome to the community!

Congratulations on receiving you free starting capital!

You've only recently joined us here at PokerStrategy (according to your registration date) Have you played much poker before now or are you completely new to the game?

At this point in your career, you should be more concerned about playing correctly, making the right moves and learning a lot, more so than adding tables just to move up the limits imo.

Multi-table grinding just for the sake of it, will not do very much in helping you improve your win-rate and also improving your game I feel.

I suggest reading all of the bronze articles and watching all the bronze videos for your chosen game type is the most important thing to do at this moment. Once you have the strategy ideas corrected in your head, then you can try and add a few tables.

There is no need to rush yourself into grinding, just for the sake of it. Take your time and you will evolve yourself into a better player. It just takes some time, hard work and dedication.

      All the best,
      Gary

      Hi Gary

Yeah I have played a bit up my local casino as every friday they
Do a credit crunch freeroll thats free entry but 10 pound rebuy ,
I have never done a rebuy up there and have reached the final table
      A few times.

I feel I have a fair understanding of the game but will be
Taking part in the nl beginners course as it looks a real good
      Place to learn some info

Not In a rush at all to try and move up stakes as I really
Just wanna learn as much as I can and keep on improving
But I was just curious as to what everyone else done on the
      Micro stakes

      Many thanks

      Jamie

      Hey Jamie,

Taking part in the Beginners Course will definitely help your game a huge amount. Great decision for sure.

Multi-tabling is such a personal choice. I mean you might find 4 tables plenty. I may play 8 tables. I guess finding the right balance for you is important. Maybe, you could try adding a table every other session and see how you feel then.

Once you feel you have the right amount then go for it I suppose. The lowest micros should be fairly easy to beat once you are equipped with the strategies here at PokerStrategy. There are also some helpful articles on psychology for when the bad times and downswings come.

Having the perfect mindset (which I struggle with a lot) will also equip you better for the grind. It's better to know too much, than to not know enough.

      Best wishes,
      Gary
