      I think betting flop and turn for value is fine. It is hard him to call you down if you bet big river with worse hands, but he may also fold there overpairs, so bet can accomplish two things: he may fold better hands or if he is suspicious then call with worse hands, since you should not bet there for value one pair hands+ I don´t really see how he can have often 7x or 2x, so you should have quite good fold equity.

      If you check then I´d c/c small bet and fold to bigger one. On that scary board players would not usually valuebet thin and bet big mostly with nuts.
