      Raise on turn was trying to create situation where he feels pot committed on the river.

      Well, most likely I'd raise bigger on flop. Although as played I'd just Call the turn and maybe even let him hit something like a draw which is towards paying us on the river. If he has any kind of hand he is paying anyways on the river. He doesn't have much left anyways.

      I was looking at his stack size, he had about the pot left on the river if I call.

      Figured he may find a fold I call the turn, he checks & then I shove pot. With my raise size the river shove becomes only around 60% of the pot which he will struggle to fold.

      Pretty marginal either way, was considering the call to avoid killing further action.
