a warm warm welcome to the english community :f_love: aww, i've heard awful news about your new tax on poker as well. :s_cry: what a beat! are you playing professionally? if so, are you considering moving to other countries or braving it out?

No I don't play professionally altho if I ever have that opportunity I will consider it but it's not an easy decision and step to make to go pro.

I'd rather see poker as a lucrative hobby at the moment as I'm still in uni.

If I were full pro idk then.. obv it's +EV moneywise to move out but idk if I could just leave my friends and familiy behind. For me and my gf it wouldn't be a problem as in cosidering only the 2 of us, but leaving family and friends behind is really hard.

idk if the tax we have now is better or worse, it's just that i'm not 21 yet :( .
the pro's of the new tax is that you won't pay taxes on your winnings, cons are that you won't get rakeback and that the rake is a little higher.

Depends on the room but on pokerstars.be you don't pay taxes on winnings. THey highered the rake for .be and tax the room like it works for casino's.

If you don't play on a regulated room then you 'have' to pay taxes

      iirc at least.

Jeah I was kinda worried that It wouldn't be allowed for me to coach/sweat someone every week or every 2 weeks because I'm not an official coach. It's mainly to improve my own game really.

of course its welcome! our members sweat all the time.
i hope you will quickly find that it's a very friendly community. :f_love: we try to help those that we can. in fact we have several of these projects going where our nl25 and nl50 players also offer to coach our nl2 players through the micros. i think its rly great gesture. and yes it will help the mentor solidify his game further. :) the most intense coaching offer was probably fr one of our players who play up to NL5k when he coached anyone in the community who asked for 20 hrs straight!

can you tell im absolutely in love with this community? haha. and you are certainly a very wonderful addition already. :) we run good today

wow that's pretty sick considering many people pay shitloads of money to get coaching from a winning NL5K player :D .

This is a big community but it appears to be very friendly indeed.

Here is a link to my blog, I made a post in which I translated my freelancer introduction thread from the dutch forums.

Everyday I'm hustlin' (at NL50)(Sweating-> apply ITT)
