      Hi all,

Been playing poker on and off for about 2/3 years not with mixed results. I had to use most of my bankroll for moving house and just at the right time I received what I think is my 4th Pokerstrategy bankroll (thanks guys :) ).

After playing a couple of SnGs, HU SnGs and tournaments with no alot happening, mostly because I cannot handle bad beats and tilt like hell :f_grin: .

My starting bankroll went down to about £12 and I started playing a couple of 6 max double or nothings on 770. I realised if I play 8 tables at once I dont tilt as I do not get to involved in each game for it to effect me and my bankroll started going in the right direction. Ill start the blog with a bankroll of £38.97. I deposited £20 as I thought I may aswell clear a deposit bonus while clearing my NDB.

Using this blog mainly to keep up with my progress as I know DoN aren't the most exciting games to read/write about but here goes.

After clearing the FDB I will be moving sites where I effectively get 10-40% rakeback every month and 30% of my rake goes into sponsorship£ to play bigger events.

      My Poker Goals
      Short term
      :diamond: Clear deposit bonus
:diamond: Move up to $2.40 DoNs (Approx £75)
:diamond: Cash in my points after deposit bonus cleared

      Long term
      :spade: Add more tables
:spade: Earn enough sponsorship£ to play a major tournament

      BR: £38.97
      Points770: 1156.05
      Bonus left to clear: £40.19
      Sponsorship£: £4.20

      Cheers guys :f_biggrin:

      Good Luck!
      I'll follow eagerly.
I just started doing Party DoNs just for the Go4Gold promo, and found I like them.

After clearing the FDB I will be moving sites where I effectively get 10-40% rakeback every month and 30% of my rake goes into sponsorship£ to play bigger events.
      What site is that?

Yeah I started DoN for that promo but only noticed when I had exactly 20 days to clear and the first day I got 9.95 points X(

It is another ipoker site but you have to sign up through another affiliate. Not sure if im allowed to mention on her or not?

The effective rakeback depends on your level and you get a chunk up front and then the rest as a very easy to clear bonus

These things get pretty crazy at night played 3 sets of 8 tonight

      BR: £39.69
      Points770: 1437.65
      Bonus left to clear: £40.19 / 4323.6 Points770
      Sponsorship£: £4.20

Hopefully get time to clear $5 of bonus tomorrow (176 points/5 sets of 8)

Going up slowly but surely :)

      Quick update.

After a bad couple of days saved by a win in a regular 6-max SnG and clearing $5 of FDB I have withdrawn my roll off poker770. Using some for things around the house I will deposit £30 on Genting Poker and continue 8-tabling 6-max DoN. I have chose to move now instead of later because of the sponsorship £ i receive and I am planning to play a £100+9 event next year using these and also the effective rakeback I receive which makes the break even/loss sessions easier to deal with.

      My Poker Goals
      Short term
      - Clear deposit bonus
      - Move up to $2.40 DoNs (Approx £75)

      Long term
      - Add more tables
      - Earn £109 sponsorship£ to play tournament (£4.20/£109)

Not a great day played 4 sets of 8 down to £36.00

Last hand of the night got me wondering

      Hero (BB): 1,810 (6 bb)
      CO: 4,060 (13.5 bb)
      BTN: 1,755 (5.9 bb)
      SB: 1,375 (4.6 bb)

Preflop: Hero is BB with A:diamond: K:heart:
CO raises to 4,035 and is all-in, 2 folds, Hero calls 1,485 and is all-in

      Flop: (3,820) 4:club: 7:club: A:heart: (2 players, 2 are all-in)
      Turn: (3,820) 2:club: (2 players, 2 are all-in)
      River: (3,820) 4:diamond: (2 players, 2 are all-in)

He had 6 :club: 4

I know I was unlucky  but should I have called in the first place?

      Is this a 6-max DoN?

If so, have a look at the ICM calculations for this hand
CO apparently knows what he's doing, pushing any two.
I doubt that I could push 64o here, though.

In your position, ICM says call from BB w/ JJ+ only.
The two smaller stacks hit the blinds ahead of you, which makes it profitable to try to outwait them.

I play the 10-man DoNs on Party, and this has been the toughest thing for me to learn. There are times when ICM says you fold AA -- for example if you are mid stack w/ two other stacks w/ < 3 BB who will hit the blinds ahead of you, you fold everything.

If you haven't already, d/l SitNGoWizard and run it in quiz mode a few hundred times.

In a hand I posted in the eval forum, the coach put it this way: Don't play chicken with the big stack.

      Good Luck

Yeah this is 6-max. I called because I was ahead of the other stacks but not by alot.

Ill download that and get on with it. Thanks :)

      Hey everyone

Not updated for a while and I update with a change.

DoN's were getting a bit boring and making me hate playing poker and after a bad downswing i withdrew my roll and deposited $10 on stars.

I have now started playing a mix of 6 max Sngs and multi-table sngs (45 man at the minute) and having a lot better time.

Im only playing low stakes but I dont have alot of spare money to throw around (baby on the way :) )

      Im playing $1.50 6max Sngs and 0.25 45 man.

So far I have only played 4 45man games but I won the first final tabled the next two where I got unlucky both times. Kings into queens they makes three of a kind and QQ vs A7 hits an ace on the river. And the forth im playing at the minute currently on final table 1st out of 8 :)

6max also doing well made just under $10 profit after 21 games. Ill upload graphs after this game :)

      4th place

      Graph so far -

I have started playing in my local league game, £5 to enter. Not the best structure 6000 chips to start blinds start at 100/200. Usually get between 35 and 50 players. They have so many weeks to collect points and then a final of the top 18 for the trophy. I joined halfway through the league last season and guess where I came? 19th  . If anyone has any tips for this tourney because of the high blinds starting I seem to sit waiting for a hand and either find something or get blinded down.

Ill leave you with some music

I just discovered the .25 45-man SnG this week. 2nd once, & one other cash out of 4 tries.

I'll be back to the $11 DoNs on Party a bit later this month -- I'm going to try to clear a bonus.

Are you in the world record tournament tomorrow?

Well i finished the world record tourney at about 61k.

I dont think i played the final hand very well at all.

      Sorry no hand converter.

I have 15kish and UTG min raises to 600 and I call with AJ

Flop comes xxJ with 2 clubs and i raise half the pot which he calls.

Turn A (WOO :f_biggrin: ) again raise half the pot and he calls

River 4 clubs and he shoves and I call. He shows K4 clubs for the flush.

I think I probably should have re-raised pre-flop but because of the min-raise I put him on Ax

      Thoughts?

My first league game this season tonight at the local, I missed last week because...well I'm lazy so I'll have a trip report coming

I didnt go to the league game again, God im lazy but I have been having a good few days online.

My $10 pokerstars BR now stands at $30.63

And I have joined 888 and so far got the free $8 to $14.45.

I just hope this last a bit longer so I have enough of a roll to handle the downswings :)

I wont be playing in the league game before Christmas now apart from one on the 19th Dec as its a £2 entry with £250 prizepool guaranteed.

what goes up must come down.

Had a really bad night tonight,
      AK<AQ
      66<T4
Two paid on the flop beaten by a rivered flush.

I really struggle to keep my cool when Im being sucked out on time and time again so Im giving it a rest for the night and playing a bit of rummy :)

      PS $27.03
      888 $12.45

      ....Right.

After loosing most of my roll to VERY bad play and BRM I was left with $4.50.

I was about to give up when I read a challenge on two plus two about a spin up attempt from $5 and it got me thinking.

I cannot put the hours of other people but I wanted to see how far I could get with my $4.50.

I have moved onto cash games starting at NL$2.

This isn't really a spin up attempt but seeing how long my $4.50 would last me.

My first goal is to get up to $40. which is 20 buyins for NL$2 (obviously).

Untill I am properly rolled for NL$2 I will only be buying in for $1.60 and will be playing 2 tables at a time.

      So here goes....

Yesterday was the start of this voyage and it went pretty well getting up to about $11 but I was playing NL$5 which I wont be doing again (yet)

Couple of goals I have set myself.

:diamond: Get to $32 by the end of december
:diamond: Try not to tilt and stop playing after I lose 3 BI
:diamond: Watch as many videos as possible this month while im silver
:diamond: Get to 5000 hands by the end of december (might seem easy but I cant play much)
:diamond: Be in profit on pokertable ratings (Currently -$34 from when I started playing poker)

      Long term goals.

:diamond: Have the roll to move up to NL$5
:diamond: Unlock at least 1 VIP Stellar Reward
:diamond: Be in profit on pokertable ratings (Currently -$34 from when I started playing poker)

Im feeling positive about poker for the first time in a while. So im expecting a big downswing  but I feel like Cash games are defiantly the way to go for me now.

So I would like $32 (20x$1.60BI) to start 2012 $40 would be better but lets see how it goes.

Been to the local last night for the league game, £2 christmas special £150 first place.

I just couldn't get anything going. Only decent hand I had was QQ and everyone folded to my raise. Was down to 3k after posting 600 blind limped round to me with K9. Board was K85 so I shove and get called by K5. Oh well was nice to get a live game in again.

I have moved onto betfair ATM trying to take advantage of the FDB which should help my BR. My goal is to clear this by the end of the week then Im back at starts and NL$2 by time I break up from work so hopefully be able to complete a couple of goals even though the poker playing has been slow
