      Hero (BB): $8.46 (211.5 bb)
      BTN: $4 (100 bb)
      MP3: $5.23 (130.8 bb)
      MP1: $4.12 (103 bb)
      UTG+1: $3.79 (94.8 bb)
      CO: $4.38 (109.5 bb)

      MP2: $5.75 (143.8 bb)
      UTG+2: $4.02 (100.5 bb)

Preflop: Hero is BB with A K
      3 folds, MP2 raises to $0.16, 4 folds, Hero calls $0.12

      Flop: ($0.34) 5 8 A (2 players)
      Hero checks, MP2 bets $0.28, Hero raises to $0.76, MP2 calls $0.48

      Turn: ($1.86) 5 (2 players)
Hero bets $1.20, MP2 raises to $2.72, Hero raises to $7.54 and is all-in, MP2 calls $2.11 and is all-in

      River: ($11.52) 3 (2 players, 2 are all-in)

      Results: $11.52 pot ($0.57 rake)
      Final Board: 5 8 A 5 3
Hero showed A K and lost (-$5.75 net)
      MP2 showed A 8 and won $10.95 ($5.20 net)

This is obviously a terrible play on my part. I really didnt put A8 in his range though. I had no stats on the guy and I suppose I thought he could play AQ or KK this way and I thought I could make him fold. Looking back I probably should have raised or folded pre-flop. Is this correct in the blinds?

      MP2 showed T T and won $6.22 ($3.10 net)

      MP2 had stats of 35/10/4.2/164 [VP/PFR/3bet/hands]
I had seen him lose quite a few big pots and assumed him to be very loose and saw an opportunity to take a big pot. I called as I had position on the raiser. Should I have raised more on the flop? I insta-called the turn which was a total lack of concentration which I have to really work on!!

      Hello 0744379,

Well, why do you Check/Raise in first place on the flop? You are even kinda deep and I wouldn't really want to play for the stacks here while the guy could easily even have stronger hands. Rather would play for pot control.

2nd hand you could even squeeze there rather play in multiway.

Also please post 1 hand per thread so we could concentrate only on one hand and don't have to scroll up/down for evaluating the hand so much.

      Best Regards.

Sorry about that will only post one hand in future.

What do you think of calling in the blinds with AK? I guess it is better to 3 bet. If opponent 4bets then we can fold and if he calls and we miss we can just give up I suppose

Should be fine. Don't like that much the 3bet where you just have to 3bet/Fold it then.
