Hi all just got a question about party poker
      That's really bugging me

When I go all in pre flop and get a caller from what I understand
You should both show your cards but on mine it only
Shows my cards and doesn't show there's until the flop , turn
      And river have been dealt,

It really annoys me as I like to see if I am ahead or need to catch
Up and part of the fun is watching the cards come up but when I can't see
What they have it's pretty annoying

Is party poker like this for everyone or have I some how
      Adjusted a setting or something

Would be very grateful for Anyones help

      Jamie

      Jamie,

When you are all in during a showdown, does not mean that the other players are also all-in. The only way their cards will be displayed is if all players in the hand are all-in. The reason for this is because until all players are all-in, showing cards to the other players may alter their play. For instance, if they are drawing to two outs, such as AsAj to another player and you just happen to be holding the other two A's that they can see, then this would cause them to just fold and the third player would be left without the opportunity to win more chips.

      Hope this helps.

in tournaments the hands will be shown, in a cash game there is an option to not show, and basically everyone has checked it in preferences, which sucks I agree.

In cash games you don't need to show your hand.

      Its always so suspenseful haha.

You can kinda tell when your opponent catches though.

I like party poker but I think what they have
Done there is stupid , in a live game you would
Both flip your cards so it should be the same online

you haven't played a lot of live cash games have you? a lot of times people don't show what they got in all-in situations. for example, they bluffed, got called, see the community cards and fold a loosing hand without showing it.

What I noticed and which is quite annoying too is that when I'm on the river before showdown and I bet, for example, 400 chips (btw I play SnG's) then opponent calls me and I won the hand it doesn't show the hole cards of villain.

Is this normal. Can this be fixed? I'm quite sure on Pokerstars you always see their hole cards as long as they call your bet!

Its the same on every site. On Pokerstars if i check the option not to show my cards till the river you also wont see it untill the river is dealt. That goes for cash games, the same rules apply in live poker. In tournaments you have to show your cards.

no they don't if they behind you. if you can't beat the hand before you on showdown - you can muck your hand

I thought it was standard that everyone checks the hand replayer?

But HEM hud shows opponents mucked cards at showdown.

LOL if I'm multi-tabling 18 tables I don't think I can check every hand that way ;) .. But I try to if I got a few seconds ahead :D

Jep, that's true but I'm not using any HUD.. still need to fix it via HEM Support as I had encountered HUD problems last time about a few months back LOL..
