I don't have poker edge or hold 'em manager so I am just going to type how the hand went down.

      10 seat no limit game

      Early postions fold

      I am dealt A :spade: A :diamond:

      I raise to $0.10

The player next to me calls my raise and everyone else folds.

      Heads up

Flop Comes" K  2 :club: 4 :diamond:

      Rainbow

      I make a 3/4 bet and I am re-raised by the Villain

I call his re-raise and the pot is now $0.50

I check to him since he has the initiative now.

The Turn comes a J :club:

      Villain bets 30 into a 50 pot

Right here I already know he has a king so I thought I should slow play my aces to build a good size pot for myself.

I put him on King rag or something like king 10

The turn comes a Q  and he overbets the pot

      Betting 1.00 into a .84

I call and he turns over a k  Q

Is there anything I can do to improve how I played?

      Hello maythany,

Welcome to the NL Hand Evaluation Forum! Hopefully we will see more hands from you in the future. I hope that with our help you can improve your play and as well move up the limits. We will be waiting for the next hands and till that good luck on tables!

What kind of limit are we playing and what are the stacks? It's really important. Also what kind of raise size he does, was it a min-raise?

But overall Calling the turn is fine if you expect him also to play Kx this way but when he bets so big on the river then there you should definitely fold, it's usually a sign of him having a very strong hand. KJ/KQ and sets are possible. Not that many hands what you beat.

      Best Regards.
