      Hello Coach

      following the mss 3 bet chart I would 3 bet this spot but villians stats were vpip 8 /pfr 6/ steal 8 with 99 hands is it really worth me 3 betting here? I had no stat for fold to 3 bet on him.
      Equilab tells me I'm behind.

      thanks Roo

      Hey Roo,

      In fact he is Mp3 which means he has/should have a wider range. If this was UTGvsMP I would be perfectly fine to fold

      Now I would still make the bluff3bet because you block AK,AA,QQ here which is alot of hands he would shove into you

      Equilab tells you that you are behind because you basically tell him to calculate the equity of AQ vs his range as if you would 3bet/all-in but you are 3betting here to fold when he shoves :)

      best regards,
      Gerv

      Hi Gerv,

      Can we use the following rule of thump here?
      If his MP PFR is 8% and he'll shove JJ+,AK = 3% his F23BET will be 62,5% (5/8)
      If he shoves tighter we can 3bet the @#$ out of him until/if he adjusts :)

      Prolly too much for NL2 but its about the idea.

      Thanks

      T.

      No because we risk [3*oR] to win [oR]+[Blinds]

      Hence we need [3*oR]/ [3*oR]+[oR]+[Blinds] = [3*oR]/[4*oR]+blinds in fold equity %

      Simple example:
      oR = 4bb
      3bet = 12bb
      Blinds 1.5bb
      12 / 17.5bb = 68.5% FEQ needed

      One also assumes he doesn't call 3bets which is another way to generate EV
