      Hello

      I'm interested in the 4/2 rule for pot odds, is this a fairly good way to quickly work out a call or not?

      Also does it work like this;

      flop = number of outs times four
      turn = number of outs times two

      this will give approx winning percentage ?

      Then if my pot odds are less than the approx winning percentage its ok to call?

      Thanks

      Roo

      Hi.
      Formula correct but what you get is not winning percentage, its hitting your draw percentage. You might hit and still lose.
      When you don't have correct pot odds it's ok to call only if you have implied pot odds (if villain will pay you off when you hit)

      I noticed when playing live recently that I could not work out my odds because I was so used to using the ps charts!!

      Thanks for clearing this up for me :)
