      Figured it was worth 2ns barrelling the ace here.

      I give up if he calls / raises as he likely has the ace himself and called flop with overards.

      Well, usually I would prefer to do that either against a player who is capable of folding and of course having some kind of PPs in his range there. Or either we have some kind of extra equity. But overall such a line is doable, especially against such opponents who ain't way too loose or anything similar, ace is a good scare-card.
