Villain is one of the very good regs on that limit, 23/18/5 3b/2.5 af/40 steal/800 hands. Defends BB often. Looks like an overpair to me.

Merge, $0.05/$0.10 No Limit Hold'em Cash, 6 Players

      UTG: $13.15 (131.5 bb)
      Hero (MP): $14.01 (140.1 bb)
      CO: $5.19 (51.9 bb)
      BTN: $9.82 (98.2 bb)
      SB: $8.40 (84 bb)
      BB: $10 (100 bb)

Preflop: Hero is MP with J J
UTG folds, Hero raises to $0.35, 2 folds, SB calls $0.30, BB raises to $1.40, Hero calls $1.05, SB folds

      Flop: ($3.15) 8 4 7 (2 players)
BB bets $2.36, Hero calls $2.36

      Turn: ($7.87) 9 (2 players)
      BB bets $5.90, Hero folds

      Results: $7.87 pot ($0.39 rake)

      Final Board: 8 4 7 9
Hero mucked J J and lost (-$3.76 net)
BB mucked and won $7.48 ($3.72 net)

      Hello kinkink220,

Preflop: What about the opponent squeeze here? Most likely it might be even safer to just fold directly. His 3bet ain't even that high but rather tighter side.

      As played
Postflop: Not much we can do here. :(

      Best Regards.
