He had a 3 bet stat of 4 for ~500 hands. Against this range I have 41% equity but I need 57% to call. Should I take his short stack into account? I had seen him buy in for 50BB or less on a few tables

      Hello 0744379,

If we are going for 3bet here then we ain't gonna plan to fold our hand. Then most likely I'd also plan to play for the stacks. What about his overall stats? VPIP/PFR? With the 3bet we can't really do much. He is 4betting by the way.

      Best Regards.

Ha oh ya sorry he had 12/12 for VP/PFR. Does this open his range up?

Yep, very nitty. I' even consider just calling and playing it postflop. Of course we ain't getting like perfect odds for set mining but we can as well even play for overpair sometimes.
