Do you mean preflop play? Well hero's in SB. Is this SH? Anyway if this is FR I would've fold. If it's SH I would've make a 3bet.

Both players seem reasonably tight so the options are fold or 3bet. Why fold or 3bet? Because AQo plays badly postflop OOP in a 3way pot. You will either value cut yourself or will get little value from your opponents.

Folding is 0EV so you save yourself from -EV spots postflop. 3betting is +EV though. Your opponents seem to be close to what's called TAGs. TAGs fold many PPs preflop in this spot and flat/4bet AK+, QQ+. If he opens ~10% UTG and folds so much you are making money regardless of what hand you have. It's usually good to select the top of your folding range to 3bet as a bluff, exactly what AQo is here. If UTG folds and UTG+1 flats again his hand is usually face up as a medium pocket pair against which you will play well against.

      Hello Shady9966,

Most likely you could even consider Squeeze/Folding here. Since with Calling and playing the hand OOP, especially AQo ain't the greatest idea. Your hand can easily be dominated and usually in multiway pot the hand isn't that strong. But of course folding directly is also fine.

      Best Regards.
