Preflop: Hero is BTN with Q Q
3 folds, CO raises to $0.16, Hero raises to $0.48, 2 folds, CO calls $0.32

      Flop: ($1.02) 2 6 8 (2 players)
CO checks, Hero bets $0.72, CO raises to $1.56, Hero raises to $3, CO raises to $7.34 and is all-in, Hero calls $4.34

      Turn: ($15.70) 5 (2 players, 1 is all-in)
      River: ($15.70) K (2 players, 1 is all-in)

      Results: $15.70 pot ($0.78 rake)
      Final Board: 2 6 8 5 K
Hero showed Q Q and lost (-$7.82 net)
      CO showed 2 2 and won $14.92 ($7.10 net)

Do you think I should go broke here? I need 38% equity to call his all-in. If I put him on 88+ then I have 54%. If I include 66 and 22 then I have 48%.

Should the stack sizes make a difference?

      Hi, 0744379!

Starting from your last question, yes, stack sizes do make a difference. The smaller the effective stack the more inclined you should be to stack off (since you have less reverse implied odds).

Usually people say top pair+ on a 3bet pot is a standard stack off. I don't believe much in "standards" but in this case with such a huge overpair vs. a weak opponent I don't think you can or should fold. They will overplay hands like K8 or A8, flush draws, and 99-JJ enough to make your stackoff quite +EV.

Only one remark: I would 3bet pre bigger at these limits. Even him having a slightly smaller stack I'd go for at least 3,5x ($0.54), maybe even keep the more standard 4x ($0.62) to get as much as possible in when we are almost certain to have the best hand.

(by the way, make a note this player calls 3bets with pocket pairs out of position. That means you can 3bet him a bunch and cbet/barrel a lot for value and maybe even as bluff since his range will be so weak).

      Best regards!
