      Top o' the morning!

Despite the fact that my 50$ bonus was denied I intend to stick to my plan. For those of you unfamiliar with what my plan is(i.e. most of you): basically to study poker as a real science and build my roll through micro stakes till I have enough to start playing live again. So that's pretty much it, in a nutshell.

Some of you were nice enough to welcome me and seemed genuinly interested in helping. Just want y'all to know I really appreciate that, really cool of you.

My question is just HOW do I move up from basic? I mean I'm currently playing on party poker but not with the account that I registered more than two years ago. Any help in this matter would be much appreciated.

      Take it easy people,
      Andrei.

      Hi Andrei,

Shame you were ineligible for the free $50. However, as you rightly pointed out it is not the end of the world. One of my fellow moderators also didn't receive the capital and he is still here :)

So now, you have some options.

If you are in a position to deposit some $ then you can start earning some Strategy points that will help you move up our status ladder by playing at one of our partner rooms on a tracked account.

You have an abundance of rooms to choose from on our partner rooms page PokerStrategy offer the best legal rakeback deals and first deposit bonuses out there!

Once you've chosen a room please make sure you use our download links and or bonus codes if necessary to ensure you are correctly tracked to our site and you'll start earning our valuable Strategy points!

You can also post in this thread if you are looking for advice on which Poker Room would be best suited to your needs.

We try to cover all angles here Andrei as best we can. This is why PokerStrategy.com is the absolute nuts in my opinion!

If you are not in a position to deposit we have further free bankroll offers (albeit they are a little smaller than our premium offer)

      Free $8 at 888 Poker
      Free $7.70 at Poker770
      $20 free at PKR

Please note that some of the above offers are country specific and you may not be eligible for them

Hope this helped and if you any further questions, don't hesitate to ask :)

      Kind regards,
      Gary

      No Andrei,

I'm afraid you can't get retracked to old accounts :(

If you've also had any previous accounts at any of our partner rooms mentioned above you are not allowed to open a second account. It's against the terms and conditions of all Poker Rooms to do so and will likely lead to all funds being confiscated and also you will be banned from that Poker Room for good.

As I said above though, we are affiliated with tonnes of rooms which leaves you plenty of options :)

      Best regards,
      Gary

Hey good luck, most people that get refused resort to flaming and saying this site is a scam, and it's going to steal their information etc.

Anyway, hope you get your bronze avatar soon and start crushing whatever game you choose to play :)

That's very nice comments from someone who denied for $50 bonus. I'll give you some suggestions:

      1. You have to have at least 25 buy in for the limit you want to play. Less than 25 BI, you can not know how good/bad you are. (I see that you have about $17 on party. So if you want to play NLHE 0.01/0.02 it's only 8 BI)

      2. In my opinion, free $50 is not the most valuable thing on PS.com . The article and video contents are more important. If you read and watching the contents and can grasp the idea you can get more value than the free $50

      So, I suggest you r

Watching videos is the way to go in my opinion.

Consider joining one of the video coaching sites where you can download videos for a membership fee, it costs around $30 a month. More than worth it if you put the effort in and make the most of it. Believe me you will easily make the money back even at the lowest stakes. They even offer 7-day free trials, I know of 3 sites that do, so that's 21 days of free education.

If you put the effort in and you have the aptitude, you will move up limits FAST, I know I did when I played SNGs, mainly because poker turned into a complete obsession to me.

I think that's the key to becoming a great poker player, you have to enjoy the game and be willing to work at it 12 hours a day, every day, it has to consume every waking hour of thought you have.

      Good luck!

A side note about poker education, if you go to university you have to pay to be educated (and it ain't cheap no no no), it's the same for poker. It's a shame you can't get a student loan out in order to be coached by a seasoned professional, but oh well, just have to make do with video coaching :) .

Try to get to a silver membership ASAP, the videos on this site are also excellent!

Thanx youz guys, that's really cool of all of youz to bombard me with advice (:

Thing bout my 17 quid roll is that I had like 15 pounds left on my acc or something so that's why I'm playing on that account.

As far as education goes, I'm reading Doyle Brunson's Super System 2 atm. That's more for high stakes live games, I know. However the idea is that I want to play live, in poker rooms/casinos with people that are there to have a good time and burn money(which is something you will probably find in any casino) . Online poker ain't all it's cracked up to be.

Haven't gotten around to watching any videos yet but I do appreciate the articles, I think they're absolutely brilliant.

Best of luck to all of youz,

      Andrei.

Get off Party Poker, they have been caught red handed on multiple occasions stealing money off their regulars including well known French players, as well as well known Russian players from reputable poker schools.

They then tried to bribe the French player with $2000 to stop talking about it on internet forums (namely 2plus2 and others) after stealing $10,000 from his account without valid reason.

If you don't believe me or wish to question the validity of this claim, go to the 2plus2 poker forum and search for the post from the French player. The Russian players posts are also there (they had around $38,000 stolen).

Scum don't deserve your money, or anyone elses for that matter.

If you bring such an accusation like this, then you should also add a link to the thread on 2+2.

I can also say: Oh, the americans did not land on the moon. Look for this at wiki. OK, it is a different story... :D
