      Hello Avatars91,

Seems to be fine, especially when the opponents stealing range is really wide there. Nice hand!

      Best Regards.

Is this not the sort of a hand I should be calling with in this spot only if I am capable of playing back every once in a while?

Yep, you are ahead with your Ace high against most of his stealing range.

      1) Do you want to say that I should be playing any A in this spot?

      2) And still, is it a mistake to call with A8o in this spot if I never play back at my opponent?

No, but I am saying you also should have some kind of plan for the postflop play. Of course you are ahead with your Ace high but it doesn't mean that you gonna play your hand profitable as well.

When you playing not back at your opponent then you wont play the hand profitable.
