I dont like calling here. Mp is behind us, if 4 bets or even call we will be in some ugly situation on the flop, oop with most likely overcards. so i would either 4bet or just fold. Some 3bet stat might be useful. Against unknown i prefer fold.

As played Id ch/c the flop, to keep his overcards and bluffs in his range.

      Hi, DrDunne!

Yup, I don't quite like the call either. We are probably not ahead of his range (unless he bluffs a lot) but rather behind an overpair or flipping vs. AK/AQ. Problem is, we can't really call for set mining as well since we're far from getting the odds. On top of that, we'll play the hand out of position; what will likelly happen is on low flops we will pay his QQ+ off while not extracting from AK, while in high flops we'll probably fold (and waste our preflop money) not knowing if we folded the best hand or not. Not to mention indeed the times we'll call preflop and the MP will 4bet, thus taking our free money.

So, yeah, unfortunately JJ is a fold there. It's a strong hand but our opponents are probably stronger and we won't be able to outplay them being out of position for the whole hand. In poker, it's quite dangerous to have a very strong but second best hand.
