I'm following quite a few blogs so I decided to start my own to track my progress and to have some laughs in the meantime.

So, my name is Ferenc, I'm 24 years old and I'm from Hungary. I'll write more about myself later, but now let's see how I did in poker so far.

      [Wall of text]
First of all, I hope you like graphs...
So, I registered through my good friend geri8806 in July, 2010 and started playing fixed limit on Full Tilt from the $50 pokerstrategy has given to me.

I was beating the full ring tables, but I found them really boring and I burnt my roll trying to beat the SH tables and every now and than I donked some of my roll on MTT's, SNG's and such, without any knowledge and/or success whatsoever. And I thought that BRM is more like a suggestion....
Well, as it turned out I thought wrong, so long story short in 5 months and 80k hands later I was nearly busted (left $10 or so) even though I got like $150 from RB over time.
So I decided to stop playing poker.

But this summer I started playing the 6-max super turbo sng's (300 chip) from the couple of bucks I had left and I did quite good thanks to the English videos of pzhon and the Hungarian videos of elekadammate, and of course the SNG articles. Results:
(=40k hands), and I was really enjoying poker up until June 29 when things took a turn - as we all know.

I tried similar turbo/hyper sng's, but I didn't liked any of them so I stopped playing poker again.. at least for two months when I stumbled upon a FL SH video from Boomer2k10 which got me playing again almost immediately. I played on the Ongame network from a $25 starting capital I got way before from some affiliate I forgot. I was playing on and off on Poker770 from pokerstrategy stake although I hate that site because of the massive amount of bots and I only played there to get/keep gold here, since that's the only site tracked to pokerstrategy for me. So I mostly played on ongame and I was doing great:

I watched all of Boomer's videos since (over 29 hours of exceptional material, thanks!) which helped me the most!
I even had a personal best session:
FL SH 0.05/0.10 and 0.15/0.30 with a bit of HU.
      W$SD: 61,36
Against a total of 83 opponents in 2 different sites (ongame, poker770).

There was one little thing though... I prefer to play at night and the fact that most of the times not even 1 table was running at night on ongame kinda tilted me a bit. And by a bit I mean enough to make me donk away all my earnings in MTT's (up to $5.50 R/A) which I did and of course I know nothing of MTT's:

      ----------------------------- End of chapter 1 -----------------------------

All of that roller coaster has been (hopefully) ended when I started playing on pokerstars a couple of weeks ago. I started playing FL SH $0.05/$0.10 from 30$ stake/loan and now I'm at $84 after paying back the initial $30.

I am definetly on a heater, but I feel more confident and disciplined than ever:

And if you're still reading, you deserve a

What you'll definetly see in this blog:

      I wrote waaay to much.
      That's it for now, cheers!

Added to my list of blogs to follow :)

The first graphs were really good mate, though obv tilting and donking away all your winnings isnt so pro ;) But I would say you have the skills (and learning resources) to crush your limits, so stick with it and post us moar graphs!

      GL dude.

      I'll be following this!

You seem to have a nice mindset :D . Honestly, I'd rather see a blog full of Justin Bieber pictures than a blog half full of bad beats, crying and tilting.

I'm always happy to help you out with FLHE strategy if needed. Good luck!

      Thanks guys, I appreciate it!

      Today's session:

I found myself in quite a few multiway high-variance pots where the "price was right" but couldn't really get there.

Also had some focusing issues (cat in the room = -EV), but overall it was fine.

      Some of my rules:
      - 500 big bet BRM (might seem nitty, but I'm sticking with it)
      - 4 tabling max at all times
      - table selecting, table selecting, table selecting...
      - get an average of 1k hands/day
      - analyze noted hands after every session
      - avoid playing anything that is not FL (esp. MTT's ;) )

      Short terms goal:
      - moving up to $0.10/$0.20 this month

      Long term goals:
      - having fun
      - ???
      - Profit!

      [/poker]

I tested out 10c/20c and it seem tougher. Way more LAG's, Maniacs, TAG's and bluffs.

Was 50 BB down in the beginning mostly because I had no info on anybody.
I feel like I was really unlucky about hitting the flop the whole session.

      My stats for 5c/10c:

I'll have to overlimp way less from now on.
I always had a Went to Showdown around 41 and in the last 20k hands or so I managed to get it down to ~38 but it will be increased again because I'll have to call down more lightly against maniacs.

      All coments are welcome!

Edit: I couldn't help myself but I have to share my wicked upswing :f_biggrin: :

I had the same prob when I started $.1/.2, TAGS were a bit better (not much though) and WAYYYYYYYYY more laggy players. And the same on $.25/.5. Just keep working hard in between sessions dude and you'll find yourself beating them.

BTW: PTR stats can be wrong at the best of times. You prob ran better :f_biggrin: I know I run better than what they say, so I don't even bother with them, I just check my HEM for how I'm doing.

Yeah, PTR is messed up, missing like 4k hands out of 22, but it feels more "official" than PT3 :]

I didn't had much problem with TAG's so far, at least I can work with ranges better against them and most of them folds waaay to easily - or at least they did on 5c/10c.

I'll have to adjust against LAG's/Maniacs though, they can always surprise me.

      Thanks for the insight!

      That is crazy! :(

First I started making notes about these late street semi bluff tendencies but it seems that it's so natural that I just gave up noting it.

Oh well, calldown it is, and variance is the name of the game.

      Recent sessions:

My upswing is definetly over for now.
In fact I feel like I rarely hit and I often get sucked out on, which might just feel like due to the looseness of the game.
And most importantly my game was poor too. Made quite a lot of mistakes.

Actually I was surprised after each sessions when I saw that I was only down by a couple of big bets.

There's some real good players on the limit though like Timtun (4.59 BB/100 over 190k hands) and sergey dust.
