For such a small raise I would generally re-steal but I thought with J9 I could flop a strong hand that may not be very obvious. In this situation I generally don't know what kind of range to put my opponent on unless I have played a lot more hands with him. I decided to just call the flop as I felt I had the best hand and would scare away weaker hands with a raise. I suppose I should have raised the turn for value but thought I would get more value if he bet the river.

I didnt put him on an over pair or a 5 but a set was possible. I generally put him on Jx.

      Hello 0744379,

I don't really like the slowplay, I'd just raise it right on the flop and protect my hand or either raise it on the turn. Why don't you want to get value? :) But as played not much to say afterwards you even slowplayed that far, we can't really raise the river while any overpair already beats us now.

      Best Regards.
